I've been a fan of Tsumori Chisato for over two years now and have been voraciously (and almost selfishly) collecting her designs ever since. I'm fortunate to own a few of her runway pieces and am always on the lookout for her merchandise all over the globe (she has the most number of stores scattered across Europe, and of course, Japan, her home country). Of course, she has no store here in the Philippines, not even a remote stockist, so I have to go all the way to HK (her flagship store is in Causeway Bay) to buy her clothes. And they're not cheap, so I've found other means to purchase items that may be several seasons behind, but still as stylish as ever. One of my favorite sources is a thrift store in Camden, in London. I managed to convince my aunt to visit that bohemian heaven at least one every two months to scour for Chisato and other designer clothes. It's been a bit of a hit or miss on that front, but I manage to get my fix. I also have local suppliers (and I don't intend to share, hahaha! Sorry!) whom I trust to satiate my Chisato cravings on an almost regular basis. So now, I have quite a few of these wonderfully detailed clothes and I just can't wait to own more! :)
For her latest collection (A/W 2010-2011), I've selected my top two favorites. I know it will take a couple of years before this becomes even remotely available through my sources, but a girl can dream, now can't she? So I'm posting them here just in case someone is kind enough to point me where they can be had, or maybe (and this is shooting the moon) buy them for me, too! Hahaha! Asa pa ko!
Look at those delicious prints!
The devil is in the details.
The entire collection may be viewed here.
And below are some of her runway pieces that I am fortunate enough to own (of course, they don't look as good on me as they do on the model, so I'm not posting my photos. Hahaha!)
I wish I am as svelte as these women!
Can't wait to get my hands on a few more key pieces for this season. Until then, I shall salivate over the photos. :)
